It's National Library Week April 3 to 9, and we thought we'd take the opportunity to highlight some of the more unique items the Spartanburg County Public Libraries has available to check out ... other than books!

A Hand-Tool Gardening Set & Seeds
A 4-piece kid-sized garden tool set (shovel, hoe, rake, lear rake) with metal base and wooden handle. These garden tools will help your child unleash their creativity while enjoying their summer days.
A Metal Detector
One metal detector, approximately 2ft when folded, approximately 4ft when fully extended, +4 AA batteries and a black carrying case. Use this motion metal detector to hunt for buried treasure right beneath your feet!
A Flower Press
Kids can use this to press flowers from the garden to use in arts and crafts, or to keep as momentos.
A Microscope
One microscope + 1 power cord, 1 eyepiece, 20 prepared slides, 5 blank slides, slide cover slips, lens cleaning tissue paper, plastic tweezers, 1 book (48 pages : color illustrations ; 26 cm), 5 microscope adventure cards (8 1/2" x 11").
An Accordion
